Understanding the IP67 Rating
The IP (Ingress Protection) rating, defined by international standards, classifies a product’s resistance to solids and liquids. Specifically, IP67 denotes two key protection levels:
Dust Resistance (6):Complete prevention of dust ingress.
Water Resistance (7): Protection against temporary immersion in water under defined conditions.

The IP67 waterproof test is conducted based on:
GB/T 4208-2017 (Chinese Standard) – 外壳防护等级(IP代码)
IEC 60529:2013 (International Standard) – "Degrees of Protection Provided by Enclosures (IP Code)"
Test Procedure
1. Preparation
Ensure the product’s enclosure is intact, with no visible defects or gaps.
Clean and dry the surface before testing.
2. Immersion Test
Submerge the product in water at a depth of at least 1 meter.
Maintain immersion for 30 minutes.
3. Post-Test Inspection
After removal, check for any signs of water penetration.
4. Result Determination
If no water ingress is detected, the product passes the IP67 waterproof rating.
